At the stroke of midnight
Escaped from the ball she did
Told her the fairy did
That the magic will only last till there
For after midnight
The dress will be gone
Her ethereal beauty diminished
But in her haste
She dropped one of her shoes
A red elegant shoe

There the shoe lies
Fit anyone it never will
For only the one with the charm of Cinderella

Will fit into the shoe
